| Just because the
customer doesn't unload you does not allow you to collect Detention, even
if they delay more than 2 hours. This always becomes a negotiation
that should be handled by you Dispatcher, not you. Most Customers
will refuse to pay detention under any circumstance. Call your
dispatcher and make sure everything is in writing.
Detention can be paid only when it is approved in writing by the customer and only after it has been billed. Simply billing the detention will not get you paid until the customer actually pays the detention.
